Lewis Labs 100% pure brewer’s yeast flakes are derived from plant and microbial sources (the inactivated yeast strain Saccharomyces Cerevisiae, commonly referred to as brewer’s yeast) and are nutritionally superior to ordinary types of yeast. It is one of the best natural sources of the entire B vitamin complex. It is a superb source of concentrated protein including all the essential amino acids. In fact, one serving of brewer’s yeast contains about ten times as much protein as the same amount of whole-wheat flour.
It is extraordinarily rich in nucleic acid which is a basic element in cell development and is believed to retard the aging process. It is a nutritional source of chromium which occurs in brewer’s yeast in an organic compound known as GTF (glucose tolerance factor). This vital factor is essential for the production of functionally effective insulin without which the body cannot handle glucose.
This is a good tasting brewer’s yeast with a higher protein content and richer nutritional content than any other natural brewer’s yeast on the market. It is not fortified, nor is it blended. Absolutely nothing has been added to this 100% natural product. Unlike ordinary brewer’s yeast which is grown on grain and hops, Lewis Labs brewer’s yeast is grown on sugar beets. Derived from the sugar beets is a rich spectrum of nutrients. Sugar beets are known to absorb so much out of the soil – minerals and trace elements. They absorb nutrients from the soil faster than almost any other crop and as result this yeast is rich in selenium, chromium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, copper, manganese, iron, zinc and other factors natural to yeast. It is also gluten free.
